First; Connecting your Loxada device your internet router
Connect the WAN Port of your Loxada device to the router you normally use to connect to the internet using the cable supplied.

Connect the power adapter to the router, plug it in and turn it on.

You will know when it is ready as you will see a new wireless network called LoxadaSetup.

You can use a wireless or a cable connection to connect your Loxada device for the initial set-up.

To use a Wireless Connection
Once your Loxada device is connected to your router and powered on, you will see the Loxada setup wireless network; use the details below to connect to it:

SSID (wireless network name): LoxadaSetup
Password: LoxadaSetup

To use a cable connection
Connect a cable from your computer to one of the LAN Ports on the Loxada device.

Finally; Configuring your Loxada device
Open a browser and navigate to http://loxada/setup or Or http://192.168.99.1

Enter your work email address and click on submit.

If your email address is registered with Loxada you will receive an email from us with an eight-character code.

Enter this in the field on-screen and your Loxada device will automatically configure itself.

When the configuration has completed, your browser will display your new Loxada secure wireless network name and password.

Use these details to connect to your new network, and you are ready to go.

Will using a VPN slow down my internet connection?

A VPN may slightly reduce your internet speed due to encryption and routing through a secure server. However, modern VPN solutions, like Loxada’s built-in VPN, are designed to minimise this impact, ensuring smooth performance.

How do I change my company’s Wi-Fi name?

Similar to updating the password, log into the Loxada portal and edit the network name (SSID) in the organisation’s settings. The changes will apply across all managed routers.

How do I change my company’s Loxada Wi-Fi password?

Log into the Loxada portal, navigate to the network settings for your organisation, and update the Wi-Fi password. The change will automatically sync to all devices.

How do I get devices to my team?

Loxada devices can be shipped to your offices or shipped directly to team members. Once received, the devices are virtually plug-and-play, requiring minimal setup by users to get started.

Will Loxada work with BYOD devices?

Yes, any device that connects to the Loxada-secured network benefits from its protections, including BYOD devices

What sites does Loxada block and why?

Loxada blocks sites identified as malicious by trusted threat intelligence feeds. These may include phishing websites, known malware sources, and other high-risk domains.

What does Loxada track about me as an individual?

Loxada does not track individual user activity. Our focus is on securing your access to data, not monitoring user behaviour.

Will Loxada slow down my internet access?

Loxada is optimised for performance, but like any VPN, there may be a slight decrease in speed due to encryption and secure routing. However, our system prioritises efficiency to minimise impact, and the difference is often negligible for most users.

Will my existing VPN work with Loxada?

Yes, Loxada is designed to work with your existing VPN if needed. However, since Loxada includes its own secure VPN functionality, it may replace the need for additional VPN software in many cases.

I can't see the Loxada set-up page

Check that you are connected to the Wi-Fi network called LoxadaSetup

I can see my secure work Loxada Wi-Fi network but cannot connect to it

Check that you have entered your password correctly.

If your password is not recognised, contact your company’s IT support team to confirm that you have the correct password.

I am connected to my work Loxada network but can't connect to the internet

This is typically caused by one of two things:

1. your Loxada device is not properly connected to whatever you are using for internet access

or,

2. the Loxada device is properly connected, but whatever you are using for internet access isn’t connected itself.

To confirm this, go to https://check.loxada.io/. If the webpage doesn’t load, follow the troubleshooting steps below; otherwise, follow the instructions on-screen.

If you are using a cable to connect your Loxada device, check that the cables are in the correct ports on both devices.

If you are using Wi-Fi to connect your Loxada router, check that the username and password are working correctly for the network you are connecting to.

If you are correctly connected, check to confirm that what you are connecting to has internet access – you can do this using another device that is connected to it directly.

If you still can’t connect, contact your designated IT support contact to raise a support ticket.

I am connected to my work Loxada network but can't access my work files or resources

Check to see if your Loxada device can connect to the internet – https://check.loxada.io/

If you can connect to other websites but not your work files or resources or if https://check.loxada.io/ displays a message that your “RPN is not connected,” contact your company’s IT support team directly to confirm that you have the correct access permissions set up.

I can't see my work Loxada network and there are no lights on my Loxada device

Check to see if the power lead to your Loxada device is connected correctly and that the mains plug hasn’t been accidentally switched off or been knocked loose.

If this doesn’t change anything, try plugging your Loxada device into a different electrical outlet to see if it will turn on.

If that doesn’t work, contact your company’s IT support team. They will help you with further troubleshooting and, if they too can’t solve the problem, will replace your Loxada device the next working day.

I can see what looks like a work Loxada Wi-Fi network but the name has changed and I cannot connect to it

Try using the password you used on your work Loxada network’s old name.

If your password is not recognised, contact your company’s IT support team to confirm whether the access details have been updated.

I used to connect to a work Loxada network but now I can only see a Wi-Fi network called LoxadaSetup

Your device has been factory reset and needs to be set up again for your company Loxada work network.

Follow the set-up instructions your company initially provided for configuring the Loxada device for your company.

If you don’t have these or have tried them and they did not work, contact your company’s IT support team to confirm if access details have been updated.
